A Woman with an Issue of Blood

I have clung to the passage of Scripture in Mark 5 about the lady with the issue of blood. Jesus saw her in all of her suffering and healed her after being ill for 12 years. For months now, I have reminded the Lord that this is my twelfth year of dealing with an issue of my blood (leukemia). His Word tells us that He is no respecter of people -- what He did for this woman, He is able and willing to do for me.

My heart has always been bent toward this woman's story. She had spent all that she had and had suffered at the hands of her day's modern medicine. A story much like my own. Often treatments have made me worse, instead of better. And if anyone has experienced a lengthy cancer battle, you are well aware of the financial demands.

The final assessment of the situation by Jesus is revealing. He lovingly tells this woman, "Daughter, your faith has made you well." Today, I have a new prayer request for my trusted prayer partners. Please pray for God to increase my faith. This appeared to be the critical key to unlocking this woman's healing.

With God all things are possible .....

Mark 5
Now a certain woman had an issue of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?” But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’” And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”

Another reason to be bold in our prayers, being reminded of his Word and what all Jesus had authority over. I'm enjoying getting to know your heart as I get into your blog! Blessings, Jeff
