Heavenly Father,
We are grateful for the love and support we receive from our fellow Christians. You knew that we would require the love and support of each other to assist us through trying times. Continue to equip us so that we can encourage and lift one another up through our prayers and words of enlightenment and encouragement.
I Peter 3:8-9 reminds us: “Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.”
Please forgive us when we fall short of these instructions, Lord. We pray and ask for unity in the Body of Christ. Expand our hearts so that they will overflow with Your compassion for those in our lives who are hurting. Grant us wisdom and understanding of Your Word, so that we can adequately share the Gospel with those who do not yet know You.
With His love and compassion, I bring so many of my brothers and sisters in the Lord before Your throne tonight. May You touch and bless and heal each one. Cover each one with Your protection, restore lives, and heal each broken body.
We will not give up, Lord. We will daily turn to You so that our hearts are uplifted and our spirits are renewed. We will not allow the spirit of discouragement to conquer our fighting spirits. We will remain focused and dedicated to our task, as your disciples, to share the Good News to a lost world around us.
We rejoice at the mention of Your Name. In Jesus’ Name I pray. AMEN.
