Update on Biopsy

I just returned from the doctor. She biopsied the skin lesion and sent it away for cultures, etc. We should have a preliminary report in the morning. Blood cultures, lactic acid level, and a CBC were drawn. We are awating the remaining results on those. The lactic acid level was normal, so that can be good news as an elevated level can indicate sepsis (infection in bloodstream).

We are going hour by hour. If my temperature worsens or if I feel worse, I will be admitted to the hospital to begin IV antibiotics/antifungals. I am so tired of going to the hospital, so I am prayinig that this will be nothing serious.
