Niagara Falls: Monument of Power Divine

No place that I have ever visited has reminded me so much of God's power and might than my vacation to Niagara Falls. The thundering, rumble of an incalculable volume of water roars through the ears of visitors. "There is a God" is imprinted on a visitor's spirit. I especially appreciate these opening lines from James K. Liston's poem, "Niagara Falls: A Poem, In Three Cantos":

NIAGARA FALLS! stupendous, beautiful,
Enduring monument of Power Divine!
Thy white-foam pillars ever moving stand,
And ever standing move harmoniously
To the rough music of the dashing spray,
And roaring tumult of thy boiling base.
