I treasure your continued prayers. I feel worse than I did on Friday. A rare gram positive organism grew out on the sinus culture. The Biaxin I am taking offers good gram positive protection. Since I have worsened and not improved on Biaxin, it is speculated that I could have a gram negative organism present as well (most dangerous kind).
Tomorrow morning I will go to my family doctor's office for a stat CBC to see if I remain neutropenic. Then I will go to the ENT specialist who will have to perform the sinus puncture procedure to obtain more material for culturing. This is the painful procedure that is done without anesthesia and they puncture through the bone into the sinus cavity then irrigate the sinuses. I dread it with all of my heart.
When I finish with that, the plan is to go to the oncologists' office and if I am neutropenic, I will begin daily injections of Neupogen. After we wait to see if I don't react to those injections, then they will begin desensitizing me to Cipro. It is going to be a long, difficult day.
Please keep me in your continued prayers. I appreciate all of you who are faithful to pray for me.

I wonder by chance if your ENT is Dr. Seitz? He is a friend of mine and I hoped he might be your Dr.
I sent him your prayer request, because even if he is not, he understands your procedure for today and I know his family will be praying for you, as we are.
Much love from the McLeish family,
Cindy
