A Day of Prayer

We have a family on one of my online support groups that is battling cancer. The father (Loren)has leukemia and now lung cancer. The mother (Brenda) has kidney cancer. They have two daughters (Jessica and Fallon).

Our online group has designated this Sunday as a day of prayer and fasting for them. Please join me in remembering their difficult situations and lifting these needs to our Father. I cannot imagine the burdens they are shouldering right now. I pray the Lord will lighten their load, heal their bodies, and grant freedom from pain and encouragement for their hearts.

A New Beginning: What Must I Do To Be Saved?

This is the most important question anyone will ever ask. First, you must realize that you are lost. When Adam and Eve committed the first sin, man broke relationship with God. From this time forward, everyone was born with a sinful nature. So it does not matter how good of a person you are, you are lost. The Bible says in Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." Secondly, you must realize that the consequence of sin is death. Not just a physical death, but a spiritual death, too. The Bible says in Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Next, you must realize that God loves YOU so much that He gave His only Son, Jesus, to die and pay the price for your sins. You must openly accept the free gift from God to confirm your believe in Jesus by openly confessing your faith in Jesus. The Bible says in I John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." In order to be promised eternal live in Heaven, you must believe these things and confess them with your mouth.
