Request for Prayer: December 9, 2008

Please keep me in your prayers. We are awaiting lab results. When blood was drawn on Friday, the pathologists contacted my doctor and told her that the lymphocytes did not appear like my "normal" cancerous lymphocytes. Now, there is an oxymoron for you -- normal, cancerous lymphocytes!

We are waiting to pick up the slides from the lab and then they will be sent to Ohio State pathology for review. I am prayerfully hopeful that this will be (yet another) local lab error and nothing serious.

A New Beginning: What Must I Do To Be Saved?

This is the most important question anyone will ever ask. First, you must realize that you are lost. When Adam and Eve committed the first sin, man broke relationship with God. From this time forward, everyone was born with a sinful nature. So it does not matter how good of a person you are, you are lost. The Bible says in Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." Secondly, you must realize that the consequence of sin is death. Not just a physical death, but a spiritual death, too. The Bible says in Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Next, you must realize that God loves YOU so much that He gave His only Son, Jesus, to die and pay the price for your sins. You must openly accept the free gift from God to confirm your believe in Jesus by openly confessing your faith in Jesus. The Bible says in I John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." In order to be promised eternal live in Heaven, you must believe these things and confess them with your mouth.
