Request for Prayer: December 29, 2008

Please uphold me in your prayers tomorrow. I will have my last IVIG treatment of 2008. As always, please pray that it will cause no harm to my body, specifically to my lungs, kidneys and liver. Please pray that I will not have an anaphylactic reaction to the treatment. And since this is the treatment produced from thousands of blood donors, please pray for the product to be pure and infection-free.

I will be at the oncologists' infusion center from 8:30-5:00 tomorrow. Thank you for your prayers. With God's help, I hope to live to see the arrival of yet another new year.

A New Beginning: What Must I Do To Be Saved?

This is the most important question anyone will ever ask. First, you must realize that you are lost. When Adam and Eve committed the first sin, man broke relationship with God. From this time forward, everyone was born with a sinful nature. So it does not matter how good of a person you are, you are lost. The Bible says in Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." Secondly, you must realize that the consequence of sin is death. Not just a physical death, but a spiritual death, too. The Bible says in Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Next, you must realize that God loves YOU so much that He gave His only Son, Jesus, to die and pay the price for your sins. You must openly accept the free gift from God to confirm your believe in Jesus by openly confessing your faith in Jesus. The Bible says in I John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." In order to be promised eternal live in Heaven, you must believe these things and confess them with your mouth.
